Miguel lives by the beach. He notices that lately, the fish have been dying. "Why?" he wonders. His mother tells him of the nearby mining company dumping waste into the sea. Miguel cannot let this happen! He takes a stand.

About the Author: Charmaine Aserappa has lived in Asia, North America, and Europe, and is the author if the international bestseller, In a Japanese Garden published by Council of Oak Books in 1999. She is also a Poetry Ambassador for the Keans Society.

About the Artist: Roel Obemio completed his fine arts studies at the University of the East, where he majored in painting. Widely admired for his works in watercolor and acrylic, his art is influenced by his admiration for the art of two great painters: Fernando Botero (Colombia) and Mauro Malang Santos (Philippines).
